Booking, Cancellation, and Arrival policies:

▪️ We are a Woman's-Only Inclusive Boutique Spa, a safe and judgment-free space for every BODY.

▪️All clients should arrive 10 mins early to fill out client in-take forms, use the restroom, etc. Arriving late will deprive you of a proportional reduction of session duration. This time is reserved especially for you, please be on time and kindly give at least a 24-hour notice if a cancellation is needed. All appointments require a non-refundable $30 booking fee and will be credited to your total service fee the day of your apt. (Venmo or Cash app) ($30 deposits are held and can be used to reschedule ONE time if in the 24-hour window.)

 

▪️If cancellation is given under 24 hours, then you will forfeit your deposit, which is non-refundable and non-credited AND you will be responsible for 50% service fee prior to rebooking. Any “NO SHOWS" will be charged and responsible for 100% of service and depending on circumstances, not allowed to rebook again.

 

▪️Once you arrive, please text me you are here. Please stay in your car or outside on our outdoor patio, as the doors stay locked. Once I finish with the previous client, I will then text you back to enter the building. You are then welcome to wait in our waiting room and start to complete your client in-take form.

▪️Accepted payments are: Exact Cash, Cash App, Venmo, and Check (*NO CC processing is available at this time.)

▪️ALL apt inquiries are responded to by TEXT within 8-24 hours. *No same-day service is available.

First Massage Therapy session? Relax! We are here to provide you with some helpful tips for a relaxing stress-free experience :)

 

▪️ARRIVAL: Please arrive 10 mins early to complete your client in-take forms, use the bathroom, silence your phone, etc. We recommend not eating any heavy meals prior to apt, a light healthy snack if anything will do.

▪️HYGIENE: Please shower the day of your apt, as clean skin & pores are apart of health and safety practices that help protect both client & Therapist.

▪️HYDRATION: Please drink extra water before & after your apt. This helps flush out toxins since kidneys have the job of eliminating toxins from your system & they need water to work.

▪️MASSAGE PRESSURE: We start at a moderate pressure. If it’s too much or too little, let us know at any time. We check in periodically regarding pressure. Communication is key.

▪️CUSTOMIZATION: This time is all about you. You are able to customize your session according to your therapeutic needs & goals. You can choose to avoid any areas that you are not comfortable with (ex: feet, face, scalp, etc) and you are able to choose to have more focus on other areas. Please indicate the above on your client in-take form.

▪️ ALLERGIES or INJURIES: Any allergies or sensitivities to massage creams/oils, essential oil scents, etc please let us know in advance so we can plan accordingly. Our creams/oils are organic, non-scented, gluten-free & nut-free oils. Any injuries & medications can be disclosed on your client in-take form. All shared info is confidential.

▪️GRATUITY: Never mandatory, all tips are always greatly appreciated.

▪️CANCELLATIONS: We kindly ask you cancel within a 24-hour window or you will forfeit your deposit. And/or may owe the remainder of your total fees.*Refer to policies*

Light and Grace Wellness Spa Policies and Procedures

 

Welcome to Light and Grace Wellness Spa!

At Light and Grace Wellness Spa we take the safety and sanitation of our operations and premises extremely seriously.

The following policies and procedures are intended to:

● clarify client and therapist expectations;

● establish standard guidelines to ensure the overall wellbeing, health, and safety of our clients and therapists;

● prevent the spread of infection and disease; and

● establish a code of appropriate conduct to be observed before, during, and after service.

Please note that in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our policies and procedures are subject to amendment and will be updated as needed to comply with changing local, state and federal regulations and health recommendations to ensure a safe and healthy treatment experience and to keep both therapist and client safe as possible in this increased-risk environment.

●Light and Grace Wellness Spa reserves the right to cancel or terminate any service (either prior to or during the service), and/or refuse to book any future service for non-compliance with any of our policies and procedures, including any additional health and safety policies and procedures that we may adopt from time to time due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Before an appointment for services at Light and Grace Wellness Spa, each client is required to review and acknowledge receipt of this document and agree to abide by the policies and procedures set above and below.

Appointments and Cancellation policies: Services are provided at Light and Grace Wellness Spa by appointment only. All appointments require a non-refundable $30 booking fee and will be credited to your total service fee the day of your apt. ●Arrival: All clients must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of their treatment as to not delay the start of their treatment. Tardiness or delays in arrival will result in a proportional reduction of treatment duration. Tardiness exceeding 50% of the service time will result in cancellation and the client will be charged by and be responsible to Light and Grace Wellness Spa for 100% of the service value. Once you arrive, please stay in your parked car in our lot or you are also welcome to wait outside on our patio, as the doors stay locked. Please text me that you are here, once I finish with the previous client, I will text you back to enter the building and you are then welcome to wait in our waiting room and start to complete your client in-take form.

●Onboarding: Upon arrival at Light and Grace Wellness Spa, all clients, new and existing, are required to fill out a Client Onboarding Form detailing their contact information, medical history, massage therapy history, current therapeutic concerns, and requirements, and establishing a method of payment.

 

●Ethics: Light and Grace Wellness Spa is a professional massage therapy business abiding by a strict code of ethics. All information regarding medical history and treatment needs is entirely confidential and will not be discussed, shared, sold, or dispersed to any outside parties without the prior written consent of the client, except as required by any applicable law or regulation.

●Appointment/Treatment: Massage therapy can provide the benefits of enhanced relaxation, stress reduction, reduced muscular tension pain and can improve circulation and range of motion. Massage therapists are not licensed to practice medicine, and therefore do not diagnose illnesses or diseases, perform spinal manipulations, or prescribe medical treatments. Massage therapy is not suitable for medical treatment, medication, or a diagnosis for any health condition a client may have. Clients should pursue appropriate health management for any diagnosed conditions or concerns they may have. Clients accept massage and other services provided at Light and Grace Wellness Spa at their own risk, and neither the therapist, aesthetician, nor Light and Grace Wellness Spa will be liable to client for any injury or damage incurred by client as a result of or arising out of the services provided by Light and Grace Wellness Spa and/or client’s pre-existing health complications or conditions.

 

●Infrared Sauna Therapy is an outstanding treatment modality and relaxation therapy for a great many people. There are, however, some people who should not use the Infrared sauna at all and others who should use it with caution. The following check list helps you identify any considerations specific to you and requests you acknowledge and accept the risks inherent in the use of the Infrared Sauna.

*It is recommended that you talk with your doctor before using the infrared sauna. If any chance of pregnancy you should refrain from using the sauna. The use of drugs, medications, or alcohol prior to or during the sauna session may lead to dizziness or unconsciousness. For any current fevers, infections, or injuries you should refrain from using the sauna. Any history of dizziness, fainting spells, heat sensitivity, narcolepsy, or seizures you should refrain from using the sauna. No one under the age of 18 is permitted in the far infrared sauna. Older individuals should consult their physician before using the infrared sauna. Discontinue the use of the sauna if you feel light-headed, dizzy, or heat exhausted.

*If you answered Yes to any of these questions it is not recommended that you use the infrared sauna at this time. We suggest that you consult your Primary Health Care Physician to obtain a release form in order to utilize the Infrared Sauna

 

● Contra-indications: We reserve the right to refuse service or segments of service to high-risk customers suffering from certain ailments or conditions, including but not limited to Pregnancy, open sores/ wounds/ burns/ cuts/ abrasions/ sunburns, recent surgery or recent injuries, deep vein thrombosis/varicose veins, undiagnosed lumps bumps or pain, fever or contagious diseases including cold or flu regardless of the severity, under the influence of alcohol/drugs including pain medications, contagious skin diseases (including but not limited to warts, poison ivy/oak, etc.), inflammation including arthritis/osteoporosis, severe heart complications including pacemakers, diabetes, edema, high blood pressure, cancer, epilepsy, nervous or psychotic conditions, or allergies to skincare/lotion/oil products used in services. Massage is not a treatment for the aforementioned conditions and may not be suitable for those diagnosed with high-risk contra-indications.

 

● Personal Hygiene: Massage therapy involves the use of touch and may at times utilize the use of oils, lotions, or creams. Arriving to your massage appointment with a clean body is imperative for the health and safety of both the client and the therapist. Light and Grace Wellness Spa does not provide locker room or shower amenities and clients are responsible for arriving clean and free of excessive bodily oils before the start of therapy. Should the client fail to uphold their hygiene responsibilities, services for that session will be postponed.

 

● Alcohol and Drugs: Do not arrive under the influence of alcohol, or drugs (prescription or recreational). Clients will refrain from drug and alcohol use for at least 12 hours prior to the service. If a client is taking or has taken prescription drugs for pain management or anti-inflammatory purposes in the last 12 hours, the client must notify the therapist prior to the start of the service.

 

● All clients must be over the age of 18

 

● Third Parties: Clients can request a third party to accompany them in a session provided the person accompanying the client does not disrupt the session or behave in an inappropriate manner.

 

● Sexual Harassment: Massage and skincare treatments are therapeutic in nature. All massage and skin care treatments provided are non-sexual. Light and Grace Wellness Spa has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual comments, conversation, misconduct, or other inappropriate behavior before, during, or after a service. Any inappropriate words, jokes, suggestions, or other inappropriate behavior by the client will result in the immediate termination of the service and will result in the cancellation or refusal of future appointments. Massage appointments terminated or canceled as a result of inappropriate conversation or action will be charged in full and future services will be refused to the client with no referral. ALL misconduct will be reported to authorities and may result in legal action.

 

● Dress Code: Clients are invited to undress to their comfort level up to their undergarments. Clients should refrain from undressing until after the therapist has stepped out of the room prior to the beginning of the service. Clients may not remove underwear or other undergarments without the therapist's consent. Clients must drape themselves with the provided sheets and blankets and should remain covered during therapy except for when instructed by the therapist. Failure to comply with the dress code or to maintain appropriate coverage will result in service termination.

 

● Acceptable payment methods include: Cash, Cash App, Venmo or Check (from repeating clients only, NOT new clients.) 

 

● A gratuity is appreciated by not required and may be paid at the completion of services. Listed prices do not include gratuity, taxes, add-on services, or fees. All payment balances are due at the completion of service and clients may not maintain outstanding balances.

 

● All applicable sales taxes will be added in addition to product and service charges. All taxes and other charges are due upon the completion of treatment. By signing below, the client voluntarily assumes the risk of the services provided by Light and Grace Wellness Spa and releases and holds harmless Light and Grace Wellness Spa, its owners, employees, and contractors, of and from any and all claims, costs, damages or liability whatsoever arising out of or resulting from the services provided by Light and Grace Wellness Spa to the client.

 

Understanding of Agreement: Client has carefully read, fully understands, and agrees to this Agreement and to all its terms and its final and binding effect while a client at Light and Grace Wellness Spa infinitely. Before an appointment for services at Light and Grace Wellness Spa, each client is required to review and acknowledge receipt of this document and agree to abide by the policies and procedures set above and below. Signing this Agreement agrees to all stated above.
